What's in your Mischief box


Your Mischief box will include a mix of 12 different kinds of fruits and vegetables, such as:

- leafy greens
(kale, lettuce, swiss chard, arugula)

- fruit
(apples, peaches, mangoes, pluots)

- vegetables
(zucchini, bell peppers, heirloom tomatoes, eggplant, squash, cucumbers, onions, potatoes, radishes, beets, carrots)


You may see occasional surprises, like watermelon radishes, romanesco cauliflower, and tomatillos.

The type of produce and weight of your box may vary by week and by season.

Weekly meal prep + general menu planning made so much easier thanks to @misfitsmarket 🙌🏻 I couldn’t possibly love this organic produce sharing, food waste eliminating, healthy options for all startup any more 😍 - - - I’ve shared before, but long story short: @misfitsmarket saves “ugly” produce from trash. Grocery stores will reject produce for many reasons: too big/small, “wrong” color, oddly shaped, dings or blemishes, or perhaps, just too much of a surplus (especially with seasonal stuff). Not only is @misfitsmarket saving this delicious, nutritious, ORGANIC produce from the trash, but they are passing on the savings to customers.💰Did I mention they deliver straight to your door? - - - Currently, you can’t pre-select what you receive (save for allergies/aversions), but to me, that’s half the fun! I anxiously await my weekly delivery, and from that I decide what I’ll make. - - - From this week’s haul: • celery • beets with greens • yellow summer squash • peaches • scallions • red onions • green bell peppers • green beans • tomatoes • apples • limes • mango - - - Tonight we had @eatbanza pasta with sautéed red onion, yellow squash + beet greens along with a tomato + mozzarella salad; tomorrow night will be pork chops with a beet, green bean + apple salad. I’m using the celery + apples both for snacks and in lunch chicken salad, using leftover chicken I marinated with lime + cilantro. Peaches + mango are a delicious sweet summer treat.
